Before I purchase any technology gadgets or software, I always do extensive research using the Internet not only for reviews and information, but pricing as well. I was able to get the premium 12 software package for $89. The headset was an additional $60. If I had not done my price shopping, I could've paid over $350 for the exact same thing. It just goes to show you, it pays to do your homework. And while I'm still at the bottom of the learning curve, this voice recognition/dictation thing is kind of fun.
Of course, you all know I was setting you up for this post. I just ordered a new software package called Dragon naturally speaking premium 12. It is voice recognition software. So, today, I am giving it a test run. So far, it does a great job taking dictation. I'm also trying to get some expertise using it to open software programs and operate email as well as using it for Internet activities. The reason behind this purchase, is because I have to try and take it easy on my shoulders. I am wearing them out.

I have seen the commercials for this software and wondered about how it works. Yes, we are definitely related. I do my homework, too, and read the reviews and shop around online. It took me a while, but I did finally settle on a Samsung monitor after much shopping. You are correct--it does pay to do your homework. Have fun with Dragon!
