Recently, a visitor to the website asked about relationships: "How do you keep a relationship going with a disability"? My 'reaction' is how do you keep a relationship going without a disability? My 'response' is that in every relationship, especially in a romantic, intimate relationship, each person must care enough about the other to overlook the others 'not so nice' stuff. Whether you hate the way they squeeze the toothpaste tube or you can't stand that they put dirty socks with the clean ones; do these things make a difference? Maybe you should be seeing what you love about them, thinking about how to make them happy, putting their needs before your own. If the toothpaste is a problem, whether they have a disability or not, you're already in trouble. Here is a video I viewed a while ago.
